The transportation of the structure to our National Mall site in Washington, D.C. will involve the use of a semi hauling a stretch "lowboy" trailer. There will also be a second small "moving van" (approx. 24-30 ft.) to carry supplementary materials, including equipment, building components, interior/exterior furnishings, the GEM electric vehicle, etc. Shortly after arrival on the Mall, the team will jack the house up onto cribbing. Under the cribbing, the team will set the piers and lower the house onto these piers. The next tasks will include attaching the parapet and shading devices, followed by the PV system on the roof and canopy. Decks, screens, and other building details will continue to be added until the entire installation is complete.
